The Oneida Crisis Center, Inc. is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and nurturing environment for all individuals seeking services without regard to an actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity (as defined in paragraph 249(c)(4) of title 18, United States 13 Code), age, familial or marital status, handicap/disability, veteran status, or non-job-related disability.
As an OCC participant, you have the right to:
- Receive services in a professional manner and be treated with fairness, respect, and dignity.
- Receive services free of bias, judgement, discrimination, and/or harassment.
- Receive services in the language of your preference and that are culturally sensitive.
- Receive services on a voluntary basis.
- Privacy, to include personal possessions, experiences, and disclosures.
- Receive services that are confidential, and be informed of any limits to confidentiality.
- Determine shared information and retain the right to withdraw consent at any time.
- Access the grievance procedure. Paper copies are available upon request.
As an OCC participant, you have the responsibility to:
- Be respectful to staff, volunteers, and other participants.
- Be considerate, courteous, and treat others with dignity.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain the safety of self and others.
- Work towards self-determined goals and perform tasks to increase overall wellbeing.
